Payment and Charges
Q: How are installation fees handled?
A: For your convenience, installation fees are paid directly to the installer upon service completion.
Q: Could you provide a breakdown of the installation charges?
A: Absolutely, here’s a concise overview of our installation fees including GST:
Small item setups, such as table / stand fans or air purifiers: S$10 each
Small table top appliances: S$10 each
Additional visits for setup: S$50 per trip
Q: What does an additional trip entail?
A: It includes essential setups, like mounting TVs on stands or changing out taps.
Air Conditioners and Associated Services
Q: What are the specific charges and conditions for air conditioner installations?
A: Piping up to 45 feet is included, and there’s a 3-year warranty on the installation work. Here’s a detailed list of potential additional charges for air conditioner installations, which will be paid directly to the installer:
Standard stainless bracket (304): S$170
Customized bracket: S$280-400
Angle bar: S$80-100
15A power point installation (without SP submission): S$300
20A power point installation (without SP submission): S$400
SP submission (testing not included): Chargeable
Aluminum sheet covering for fan coil unit/outdoor area: S$100
Piping extension (standard S$25 per foot): S$8 per foot
Second trip for piping: S$150
Installation of water tray: S$250
Whiteboard cover for door frame: S$30
HDB submission fees for second fan coil unit installation: Chargeable, pending review on-site
Standard water pump installation: S$250
DSP water pump installation: S$400
Pressure testing per fan coil unit: S$180
Cutting and patching of ceiling, partition, or cornice: S$140 per hole

General Installation Services
Q: Can you explain the basic installation services for TVs and other appliances?
A: Our standard basic installation service at no additional cost applies to select items purchased from Gates Deal, including:
Televisions: Tabletop setup
Audio/Video devices: Basic setup
Washing machines: Basic hookup
Refrigerators and other specified kitchen and beauty appliances: No installation unless stated otherwise
Q: What about wall-mounting services for televisions?
A: Standard wall-mounting charges vary based on screen size and begin at S$70 for screens that are 40” or smaller to $300 for screens that are 75” or bigger. All installation services are performed within our operational hours, excluding Sundays and public holidays and based on HDB regulations. Specialty brackets and installations higher than 1.8 meters may incur additional fees.
Ceiling Fans and Portable Air Conditioning Units
Q: What should I know about ceiling fan and portable air conditioner installation?
A: Ceiling fan installation starts at S$100, with variations for specific circumstances. Our team will coordinate with you to schedule an appointment with our recommended contractor. For portable air conditioning units, basic installation for standard sliding windows is complimentary, while other window types may carry charges. All quotations are finalized on-site.
